Why we're building on the Solana blockchain

Even in the depths of the darkest winters, we had great confidence that digital collectibles were here to stay, and that much of their success would happen on Solana. To us, Solana is the future, a place where blockchain meets consumer, offering scalable, usable, and user friendly experiences.

In anticipation of Solana's continued growth, we wanted to lay foundations for a legacy digital collectible brand that would capture a portion of the new users arriving each and every day. Though, we don't simply want to wait for that onboarding, we want to be part of it.

The vision we have to be part of Solana's continued growth will be visible through initiatives we support and lead at Undeads and Hexagon (formerly Undead Studio).

Who we originally created Undeads for

Put simply, for collectors, particularly those who love great pixel art. But beneath the surface, we wanted to disrupt the status quo, and create a stable entry to the Solana NFT market for collectors from across all of the different blockchains. Solana's growth has always been consistent, but we felt there was plenty left to be desired on the NFT side...

Our goals for the Undeads brand are, and have always been, to:

  • Create a timeless, collectible avatar

  • Introduce pure collector culture to Solana

  • Curate a mature, tasteful, and thoughtful space

  • Maintain a strong, responsible, forward-thinking brand

Our collection is meant to exist at the intersection of art, people, and Solana, providing the perfect exposure to categories that we care a lot about.

To begin, we created one of the most timeless, collectible avatars on Solana. This alone has attracted thousands of collectors to acquire and hold wonderful pieces that are expected to live in their vaults for years and perhaps decades to come.

Beyond that, our strategy is to be simple, stable, but very much forward-focused. We're not here to copy the roadmaps of others, but rather to carve our own path which feels fitting to the brand, but aligned with how we want to position Undeads for the future.

We want to do simple things exceptionally well.

We're building infrastructure that uniquely supports the vision of Undeads, but also helps the broader market of digital collectibles on the chain.

Yes, we're looking to position Undeads to capture inbound users of Solana, but also be part of that onboarding in our own unique ways, such as through the infrastructure we're developing.

Fundamentally, what we want to do is build a legacy digital collectible brand on Solana. And when you zoom out, even now, we're very early in the story.
